Ronald McDonald for Road Safety.

Recently, Ronald McDonald came to our school to talk about road safety.  First, he had to hang his washing up on the line, but the wind was quite strong that it blew his sock away.  Ronald McDonald set off down the road to look for his sock.

He was very funny, but he also had a serious message about keeping safe on the footpath and when crossing the road.
Ronald McDonald said that it is safer to walk on the house side of the footpath.  This way, we won't be too close to the road.
Ronald McDonald reminded us to always stop before crossing a sneaky driveway to check if any cars are coming in or out.
What do you do when you come to a pedestrian crossing?  You must always
STOP! LOOK! and LISTEN!

When you come to a pedestrian crossing with Road Patrols on duty, you must always listen to them.  They have been trained how to keep us safe when crossing the road.
Always wait behind the yellow line until they say
"cross now".
This is when it is safe to cross the road.

Funny Ronald McDonald!  His missing sock was on his back the whole time!
Thanks Mrs Short for reading the story about Ronald McDonald and his missing sock!
