Last week we presented assembly in front of the whole school. We practiced and practiced and were looking forward to the big day. Finally it arrived and we were a little nervous, but we were awesome!
After the National Anthem, we welcomed everyone with Tena Koe.
Then, AT-L and DN asked Mr T to give out the certificates.
Next, the Values names were called out.
After this we had a slide show of our self portraits.
After our slide show, three of us presented our favourite poems.
AR asked the Road Patrols if they had any certificates to give out and to tell us what the safety message is for week.
After that we performed the highlight of the assembly.
Our version of the big book
'A Very Good Lunch'
Every one of us performed magnificently. We were fantastic!
We had so much fun!
Our timing was great!
JS & SJ asked the children who were having or have had a birthday to stand so we could sing
'Happy Birthday' to them.
Then it was our big finale - singing the Candy Man.
We loved singing this song!
Finally SW thanked the kindy kids for visiting and told the teachers they could take their classes when they were ready.
We learnt so much from presenting our assembly.
We learnt how to speak clearly and to look at the audience. We think we did a great job because we all did our best and weren't too nervous. Mostly and importantly, we had fun!
