Happy Holidays

Wow!

We have worked so hard this term.

We have learnt to hold a pen correctly and are becoming good writers and readers.  We can count to 40 confidently, count back from 20 and skip count in 2's and 10's. 
We are becoming good learners and know what to do to stay focused with our learning. 
We have had fantastic swimming lessons with Wayne and Michelle.  We've learned how to be safe in the class room as well as in the sun, around the pool, and while crossing the road.
We've had fun House Days, mufti days, an Aqua Fun Day, baked ANZAC biscuits and made new friends.
We really deserve a holiday! 
So be safe everyone and we'll see you next term - 6th May, ready to start some more learning!

Special Term Certificate Term 1 and Values Person Week 11

Wow! Well done and a Super Congratulations to our First Special Term Certificate Person - SD.  You have worked hard all term and have become more confident with your learning.  Go SD!
Well Done also to EM.  You have shown Respect to all your friends in room 10 and have been a super helper. 

You girls are absolutely awesome!

ANZAC Day

25th April

We will Remember Them.

This week we have been talking about ANZAC day and what this means to New Zealanders and Australians.  Today we finished our mini inquiry and made ANZAC biscuits.

 

 

The ANZAC biscuits were delicious!!

House Day Term 1 Week 10

Today was our second House Day for the term. 

We had to wear our House tee-shirt and could dress as our favourite Super Hero or Sports Hero.  Yesterday we made headbands and coloured them in our House colours. 

Today at assembly, we had a big parade to show everyone what we were wearing.  We had so much fun!  After lunch we got into our House groups and then split into two teams.  One team from every house had an obstacle course on the field, while the other teams had other activities.  Then we swapped over.

BATTEN – Played Capture the flag

BLAKE – Played with the Parachute

Hillary – Had skits and a Talent show.

SHEPPARD – Had a Scavenger hunt. 

We love House Day!!

Special Terrific Person and Values Person Week 10

Counting in Two's - 2

We are learning how to count in two's.  We thought the best way is to get into groups of two then count how many of us are at school today.

2,4,6,8

We put the biggest number in our head then add on the smallest number.  We know we had 18 in our class at school today.

We are getting very good at counting in two's.
